i found this really cool idea for the dkd assignment... the following website shows how a newspaper kiosk can be made interesting.. with all the details on how it is put up

an idea of it looks like this:

cmputer tut

the computer tut that required us to play around with lighting on 3d max was really a big challenge.. but it gets better once you have the hang of it..
take a look at layout and my attempt

using autocad to draw up the rooms and exported it to 3dmax and for each room played around with the lights and rendered

the enegy research project that we got as an assingment for studio work is progressing.. yesturday we went to a meeting with the guys from campus (existing research centre) the challenge i guess is to design a sustainable research centre that houses all the componets but in a more formal and 'better looking' sustainable way.. igot a couple of ideas

this image shows the framing that am thinkin about i like the fact that you can see throuht the panels and iam thinking of using idea of perforated panels to screen the engery components e.g. wind turbine or solar panels where the people will collect their data from

this is just an example of how i want to lower my level of placing the solar panels at a lower level so that you cant see them.. and the sit against a retaining wall at the prefered angle of 45 degrees..

this image basically jsut shows how i can create a spill out sopace or courtyard to seperate some of my function places bt still have them in one building so to say.. but am not looking at a buildiing as such as a whole but rather as scatterd spaces that connects with a courtyard...

this was the image from the internet

this was my final layout

this weeks computr and in was quit a fun but iretating project. I took the imagefrom the internet and duplicated it on using 3d autocad. the problems that icame across was funny enough not the lighting but hte materials that woudnt render especially the stainless steel legs from the chair... after printing it i realised that e,g the light in the middle was to big.. but iam quite happy with it besides the small mistakes but it has to be handded in so that was my main goal.
